Tragedy on the A390: Woman Dies Days After Collision
A woman has died following a collision on the A390 between St Ive and Merrymeet last week.
Emergency Services Called to A390 Crash
Police were called at around 10.45am on Tuesday, 4th February, after reports of a single-vehicle collision on the A390. Emergency services, including ambulance and fire crews, responded to the scene, and a road closure was put in place.
The driver, an 88-year-old woman, and her passenger, an 83-year-old woman, both from the Callington area, were taken to Derriford Hospital with injuries initially considered minor.
Passenger Dies in Hospital
However, the 83-year-old front-seat passenger passed away yesterday (Monday, 10th February) at Derriford Hospital as a result of her injuries. Her next of kin has been informed.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
