Devon and Cornwall Police are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding a troubling incident at a Cornwall holiday park. The event, involving two young children, unfolded at Lizard Point Holiday Park near Mullion, stirring concerns amongst families and the local community.

Unsettling Discovery

The incident occurred within the amusement arcade of the holiday park between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday, 24 March. Reports indicate that two children, having wandered into the arcade from a nearby function room, were found in an unsettling situation. The father of one of the children, upon searching for them, entered the arcade only to discover an unidentified woman holding each child by the arm.

Prompt Intervention

Reacting swiftly, the father demanded the woman release the children, which she did. The children were safely returned to their families, thankfully unharmed. The woman involved in the incident was described as wearing a bright yellow top, a detail that police hope will aid in identifying her.

Call for Witnesses

Devon and Cornwall Police are now appealing to anyone who was present at the Lizard Point Holiday Park during the time of the incident and might have witnessed the event. The appeal extends to visitors who may have seen the woman in the bright yellow top or any unusual activity around the amusement arcade.

How to Help

Members of the public with any information are encouraged to contact Devon and Cornwall Police directly. Reports can be made by calling 101 or through the police website, quoting the reference 50240072522. The police hope that witnesses will come forward to assist in piecing together the events of that evening, ensuring the safety and security of all visitors to the holiday park.

This incident serves as a poignant reminder of the vigilance needed in public spaces, especially where children are involved. The community’s cooperation is invaluable in maintaining a safe environment for all.
