Man Seriously Injured in St Austell Collision – Police Appeal for Witnesses
Motorbike and van collision on Victoria Road leads to hospitalisation
A serious collision in St Austell has left a 46-year-old man with severe injuries, prompting Devon and Cornwall Police to appeal for witnesses. The incident occurred on Victoria Road, near the junction with Morleigh Close, at approximately 5:10 pm on Monday, 16th September.
The crash involved a grey Ford Transit van and a red Honda motorbike. The motorbike rider was flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth with significant injuries. The extent of his condition remains unclear.
Road Closure and Investigation
Following the collision, Victoria Road was closed while officers from the Roads Policing Team carried out an investigation at the scene. The police have expressed their gratitude to the public for their patience during the road closure.
Appeal for Witnesses
Police are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward. Officers are particularly interested in speaking to individuals who haven’t yet been in contact.
