Camborne Property Closed to Combat Anti-Social Behaviour

A full closure order has been imposed on a property in Holmans Court, Camborne. Granted by Truro Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 21 February, the order follows numerous reports from local residents concerning disruptive activities linked to the occupants of the property.

The enforcement of this closure order marks a significant step in collaborative efforts between Camborne’s neighbourhood policing team and Cornwall Council’s anti-social behaviour team. The move aims to alleviate the distress caused to the community by the occupants’ behaviour, which had significantly impacted the well-being of local people.

Under the terms of the full closure order, entering the property during the designated three-month period could result in fines or imprisonment for violators. This measure seeks to ensure that the disruptive behaviour does not persist, with police and Cornwall Council continuing their partnership to monitor the situation closely.

Sergeant Dave Bardle expressed gratitude towards the community for bringing the issue to the authorities’ attention, emphasising the ongoing commitment to addressing such concerns alongside the anti-social behaviour team. The police are urging members of the community to remain vigilant and report any breaches of the closure order, demonstrating their dedication to resolving the situation.

Inspector Louisa Brown also highlighted the importance of community involvement in bringing about the closure order. She reassured residents that the police take reports of anti-social behaviour seriously and are focused on making tangible improvements to the local area. Brown encouraged continued reporting of any concerns to help further enhance community well-being.

The neighbourhood team is actively engaging with local residents affected by the situation and encourages anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour to report it through the Devon & Cornwall Police website. Updates on their efforts to protect local communities and reduce crime can also be found on their Facebook page, with residents encouraged to sign up for direct alerts from Devon & Cornwall Police for the latest information.
