Appeal for Witnesses Following Serious Collision on A394 near Helston

Devon and Cornwall Police are urgently calling for witnesses and any dashcam footage in the wake of a severe road traffic accident that occurred on the A394 at Rame, near Helston. The incident took place outside the Halfway House public house at Rame Cross, prompting a significant response from emergency services.

The collision, which happened at approximately 12:05 pm on Thursday, 22 February, involved a red Suzuki Alto and a white Peugeot Boxer van. According to police reports, the 34-year-old male driver of the Suzuki suffered life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital for urgent care. The van’s driver sustained injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening and received treatment at a local hospital.

In the aftermath of the collision, a thorough investigation was conducted on-site by officers from the Roads Policing Team. Their efforts led to the road’s reopening at 2:15 am, and the police have extended their gratitude to the public for their patience during the closure.

The Devon and Cornwall Police are now appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward. This information could be crucial in aiding the ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision.
