Big Green Adventures is set to host an immersive Beach Lifeguard Training Course from 21st to 28th April 2024 in the picturesque village of Crantock, Cornwall.

This comprehensive course, priced at £350 per participant, offers an option to include accommodation, breakfasts, and more for a total of £570. Aimed at equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve an internationally recognised Beach Lifeguard Qualification, the course promises a week full of training, camaraderie, and adventure.

A Unique Training Experience

Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the lifeguard experience, sharing accommodations and daily learnings with fellow trainees. This unique setup is designed to foster a sense of community and mutual growth among participants.

Expert Instruction and Comprehensive Curriculum

Under the guidance of Dale, the head coach with over 15 years of lifesaving and coaching experience, trainees will receive top-quality coaching. The curriculum covers theory, CPR, first aid, pool skills, and open water skills, leading to the SLSGB National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification and additional Surf Lifeguard accreditation.

Beyond the Classroom

The course is not just about gaining a qualification; it’s about experiencing a week filled with physical challenges, learning opportunities, and community engagement. From intense fitness tests to practical rescue scenarios, participants will be pushed to their limits in a supportive environment.

The location in Crantock offers the perfect backdrop for training, with its quiet, National Trust-managed beach providing both flat-water areas for basic training and waves for more challenging scenarios.

Living the Lifeguard Life

For those opting for the accommodation package, the experience is further enriched with additional amenities. Participants will stay in stunning accommodation in the heart of Crantock, enjoy a breakfast spread each morning, and have access to unlimited use of surfboards, wetsuits, and more. The week will be punctuated with a BBQ feast night and a big celebration evening, celebrating the achievements of the participants.

Community and Adventure

This course is more than just training; it’s an adventure into the heart of Cornish life and an introduction to a community of like-minded individuals. With ample opportunities for surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and simply enjoying the local culture, participants are in for an unforgettable experience.

Open to All

The Beach Lifeguard course welcomes anyone over 18 with a passion for the ocean and a keenness to learn. While the course is physically demanding, it promises to equip participants with the necessary skills and certifications for a range of lifesaving and coaching roles, not just in Cornwall but around the world.
