Crantock Surf Lifesaving Club Launches Crowdfunder with Amazing Rewards – Don’t Miss Out!
Crantock Surf Lifesaving Club in Newquay has launched a Crowdfunder with a range of rewards, aiming to raise £14,500 for vital equipment to continue keeping Crantock Beach safe. With rewards including surf lessons, wetsuits, and even a beach games party, supporters have the perfect opportunity to get some early Christmas gifts while helping the community.
Essential Equipment Needed
The club is aiming to purchase new equipment to meet the rising demand for surf lifesaving in the area. Membership has surged from 88 to over 140, including a 70-strong group of nippers, children aged 5 and up who are being trained in water safety and lifesaving skills. The funds raised will go towards 10 nipper training boards, 10 rescue tubes, 2 icon skis, and 4 youth racing boards. These items are essential for both training sessions and lifesaving patrols on Crantock Beach.
Crantock Surf Lifesaving Club has a long history of keeping both residents and visitors safe, providing out-of-hours beach patrols as well as training future lifesavers. In fact, they’re one of the top five most active volunteer patrol clubs in the UK, making numerous rescues in collaboration with the RNLI and Coastguard.
Double Your Impact with Sport England
Every donation made to the Crowdfunder will be matched by Sport England, doubling the impact of each pledge. Supporters are encouraged to act fast, as momentum is key to securing the funds needed to match Sport England’s pledge.
The Crowdfunder page also features a variety of rewards for donors. Surf lessons with Big Green Adventures, wetsuits, hoodies, and t-shirts from Northshore Surf Shop in Newquay are just a few of the fantastic items up for grabs. For families, there’s even the chance to win a beach games-themed kid’s party at the club’s hut.
How to Get Involved
There are several ways the community can help Crantock Surf Lifesaving Club reach its target. Aside from making a pledge, supporters are encouraged to share the project on social media, offer rewards if they’re local businesses, or even organise their own fundraising event.
More details on how to donate and the rewards on offer can be found on their Crowdfunder page.
Strengthening the Community
The funds raised will not only help keep Crantock Beach safe but will also allow the club to continue offering important water safety and rescue training. The club prides itself on creating a sense of community, offering weekly sessions for both children and adults, and encouraging everyone to stay active.
Crantock Surf Lifesaving Club plays a vital role in the local community by teaching lifesaving skills and keeping beachgoers safe. With the help of the public, they aim to secure the equipment needed to continue their invaluable work for years to come.
