Apprenticeship Games Return to Duchy College Stoke Climsland in 2025

The Cornwall College Group is bringing back its celebrated Apprenticeship Games in 2025, showcasing the skills and talent of apprentices from across the South West. This exciting event will take place on Wednesday 12th February 2025, aligning with National Apprenticeship Week.

Celebrating Skills at Duchy College

Hosted at the scenic Duchy College Stoke Climsland campus, the event will welcome teams from leading businesses representing a variety of industries. The Apprenticeship Games promise a day filled with dynamic challenges aimed at testing participants’ technical expertise, teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.

Past activities have ranged from creative contests, such as mocktail making and gateau decorating, to more technical challenges, including E-sports and wall-building.

The winning team will walk away with the coveted “Apprenticeship Team of the Year” torch trophy, with additional gold, silver, and bronze awards recognising top performers.

A Platform for Connection

Teresa Copping, head of apprenticeships at the college, said:

“The Apprenticeship Games are a true celebration of our apprentices and the local businesses that support them. They embody the strength of our communities and our commitment to delivering world-class apprenticeship training right here in the South West.”

Teresa also highlighted the broader impact of the games:
