Sam O’Dwyer to Leave Cornwall Airport Newquay – What’s Next for the Airport?

Sam O’Dwyer, Managing Director of Cornwall Airport Newquay, will be stepping down from her role on 7th May to take up a new opportunity closer to home in West Sussex.

A Leadership Change at a Key Moment

During her tenure, Sam has been instrumental in private investment processes aimed at transforming the airport’s operations. These efforts will continue under the leadership of Corserv Solutions, the airport’s parent company.

Sam will work alongside Neil during her remaining time to ensure a smooth transition, and recruitment is already underway for her successor.

Cornwall Airport Newquay has seen rapid growth, offering direct flights to domestic and European destinations. It recently won in the Small Airport category at the AirportsUK Health & Safety Awards 2024. The airport also hosts Spaceport Cornwall, the UK’s first licensed spaceport, making it a key player in future flight innovation.
