Summer 2025 takes off at Newquay Airport as passenger numbers soar

Cornwall Airport Newquay has kicked off its full Summer 2025 schedule in style, reporting a busy June with 47,585 passengers passing through its departures area.

The terminal saw a sharp rise in air traffic too, recording 2,245 aircraft movements – a 19% increase compared to the previous month.

Airport Buzz Builds in June

As Cornwall began to feel the warmth of summer, the airport terminal buzzed with activity. June marked a significant milestone in the season, with holidaymakers and travellers making the most of the routes available from Newquay.

And while the skies were busy, the airport team were also out on the ground.

A Day Out at Royal Cornwall Show

One of the standout moments for the airport last month was its appearance at the Royal Cornwall Show. Despite the unpredictable Cornish weather, the airport’s team said it was great to meet so many people who stopped by their stand to show their support and interest in their #ProperLocalAirport.
