Cornwall Air Ambulance Attends 9 Emergency Incidents in Cornwall Over Bank Holiday Weekend
Busy Weekend for Cornwall Air Ambulance
Over the recent bank holiday weekend, the Cornwall Air Ambulance was called out to respond to nine emergency incidents across the county, highlighting the critical role they play in the region’s emergency services. The incidents took place in various locations, including St Austell, Camborne, Redruth, Tavistock, Penzance, and Padstow.
Falls and Traffic Collisions Dominate Calls
Of the nine missions, three involved falls from height, while another three were due to road traffic collisions. These types of accidents are among the most dangerous, often requiring immediate and specialised medical attention. The Cornwall Air Ambulance was vital in providing swift transport to Treliske Hospital, ensuring that patients received the urgent care they needed.
Support Cornwall Air Ambulance
The Cornwall Air Ambulance is also working towards securing a new helicopter through their HELi2 appeal. This fundraising effort is aimed at acquiring a next-generation helicopter to enhance their lifesaving capabilities and ensure they can continue to serve the community effectively.
As the community reflects on this busy weekend, many thoughts are with those involved in these incidents, with hopes for their swift recovery. The Cornwall Air Ambulance continues to be a vital lifeline, and supporting their appeal could make all the difference in future emergencies.
