Soul Farm Sets Sights on Stage 2 After Hitting Investment Target Thanks to Community

In a recent update, Soul Farm announced they have successfully reached their investment target, marking a significant milestone for the farm’s future. The achievement was made possible through the collective effort of community investors who demonstrated their support through financial contributions, sharing information, and continuing to purchase Soul Farm’s produce.

The farm emphasised the importance of this achievement, stating it was crucial for their ability to scale up operations and ensure sustainability. The support from the community has not only provided Soul Farm with the necessary funds to continue but has also affirmed the community’s belief in the farm’s mission and practices.

Soul Farm is now entering the second stage of their investment campaign, hosted on Ethex, a platform known for ethical investing. With a new target set at £350,000, the farm has already made significant progress by securing £316,000. Achieving this stretch target will enable Soul Farm to implement several key projects, including the construction of a new barn, securing match funding for a lagoon that will support water capture and irrigation, purchasing additional hand tools, expanding their training programs, and acquiring a small nursery propagation polytunnel.

The farm highlighted the importance of community shares in this endeavour, pointing out that increased co-ownership reduces the reliance on institutional investments, which often come with restrictive conditions. With 78 days remaining in the campaign, Soul Farm is encouraging more individuals to participate and take co-ownership.
