Oddfellows Truro Friendship Group Embraces Autumn Fun and Supports Local Charity

An Enjoyable Afternoon of Quizzes and Treats

The Oddfellows Truro Friendship Group celebrated the changing season with an Autumn-themed gathering in the upstairs room at the Central Bar. Members tackled a variety of tabletop quizzes and puzzles, with winners receiving a round of applause and a box of chocolate toffees for their efforts.

Alongside the fun and games, the group held a prize raffle, with proceeds going towards a fund to support a deserving local charity. Attendees also enjoyed teas, coffees, biscuits, fruit, and sweets, making for a lively and enjoyable meeting.

Supporting Members and the Community

Attendees received ‘Winter Wise’ booklets and other brochures aimed at supporting members through the colder months. The event concluded with a giveaway of books and puzzle sheets, adding to the warm and inclusive atmosphere of the afternoon.

The Oddfellows Friendly Society, of which the Truro group is part, offers a variety of benefits to members, including care and welfare support, a travel club, and opportunities to volunteer.

Looking Ahead to Christmas Celebrations

The group will next meet with other local Oddfellows members on Wednesday, 4th December 2024, for a Christmas lunch at the Victoria Inn, Threemilestone. Bookings for this popular event are now being taken by the District Secretary.
