Festive Cheer: Plymouth and Truro Oddfellows Celebrate Christmas Lunch in Truro
A Warm Welcome to a Festive Tradition
The Plymouth and Truro District Oddfellows Friendly Society gathered this week to enjoy their annual Christmas lunch at the Victoria Inn, Threemilestone, Truro. Members celebrated the festive season with a meal that was greatly enjoyed by all.
Provincial Grand Master Tina English welcomed attendees, sharing a heartfelt message: “This is a grand occasion to remind all of the wonderful benefits of membership. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and take this opportunity to thank all our members and those who serve across the district in the various roles. It’s been a wonderful and enjoyable year with some prestigious awards received by some of the members, and we all look forward to a year of friendship ahead. We are always there for our members.”
More than Just a Meal
The Oddfellows Friendly Society, one of the UK’s oldest and largest friendly societies, offers its members much more than social events like the Christmas lunch. Members can access benefits such as care and welfare support, a dedicated travel club, and opportunities to volunteer. The society is open to new members of all ages and genders, encouraging individuals to join and experience its ethos of friendship and support.
