Three Lucky Visitors Strike it Rich with Cornwall Gold’s ‘Pick a Diamond’ Activity

Three young visitors walked away with a sparkle in their step this Easter after discovering real lab grown diamonds worth £200 each during a family activity at Cornwall Gold.

The new ‘Pick a Diamond’ experience, introduced earlier this year at the heritage attraction, invites visitors to sift through soft sand in search of a hidden gem. For just £5, participants can uncover either a cubic zirconia or a sparkling lab grown diamond. Once a stone is chosen, it’s graded by the Cornwall Gold team, revealing whether the finder has struck it lucky.

Winners From Near and Far

Among the lucky winners were Elysa and Lexi, who are regular local visitors, and Alex, who was enjoying a family holiday in Cornwall. Each of them successfully picked out a diamond, opting to take their new treasures home to decide how best to set them.

A Memory That Lasts Forever

Mike Taylor, Managing Director at Cornwall Gold, said: “As a free to enter attraction we always look for fun, imaginative ways to engage with our visitors whilst giving them value for money. Our ‘Pick a Diamond’ offering does just that. It’s interactive and you honestly don’t know whether you’ll pluck a pretty cubic zirconia or a £200 diamond! And whilst we all know memories fade, diamonds are forever so we love knowing that the lucky winners will always be reminded of their time with us.”

More Than Just Sparkles This Spring

The ‘Pick a Diamond’ experience has already become a favourite among both residents and visitors from out of county. With an updated Spring menu now available in their award-winning café, Cornwall Gold is encouraging people to come along, try their luck, and perhaps leave with more than they expected.

Cornwall Gold remains free to enter and continues to build on its reputation as a top spot for families and curious visitors looking for something a little different this season.
