In an impressive display of skill and dedication, nine-year-old Beatrix Warner from Truro has recently clinched the top position in the Under 9’s Girls category at the esteemed Leon Paul Junior Series (LPJS) competition held in London.

A Year 4 student at Kea Community Primary School, Beatrix is no stranger to the fencing world. She trains at Truro Fencing Club, which is located in the Cornwall Fencing Centre at Truro School. Her journey in fencing is a testament to her passion, hard work, and commitment to the sport. Her recent second-place finish at the LPJS sabre competition has earned her the overall top ranking in her group, setting a promising trajectory for her future in fencing.

Beatrix’s fencing prowess isn’t confined to just one event. She has been a formidable competitor in various local and national competitions, securing the 1st place title at the Cornwall County Champions 2024 for under 10s. This victory not only served as a fantastic start to her season but also highlighted her as a force to be reckoned with in the fencing community.
