Families looking for affordable ways to keep children entertained this half term will find plenty on offer at Better leisure centres across Cornwall. From silent discos and trampolining to intensive swimming lessons and inflatable pool fun, there’s something for all ages.

£1 Swims and Extra Gym Sessions

For early risers, kids can take advantage of £1 swims between 9-10am each day. Meanwhile, extra junior gym sessions have been added, giving younger visitors more chances to make the most of the upgraded equipment.

Crash Courses and Family Activities

Those keen to brush up on their skills can join crash courses in swimming and tennis. Families can also enjoy inflatable pool fun sessions, making the most of the half-term break.

Where to Find the Fun

Better leisure centres, operated by not-for-profit social enterprise GLL on behalf of Cornwall Council, are located in:

  • Bude
  • Saltash
  • Liskeard
  • Bodmin
  • St Austell
  • Newquay
  • Truro

  • St Ives

Amelia Kitchen, West Cornwall’s Senior General Manager, said:

“We’ve been busy improving our facilities and programmes over the last few months and are looking forward to a busy half term.”

“Parents will know how difficult it can be keeping children occupied when schools are out in February, so we’ve got a packed schedule of cost-effective events on offer.”

Discounts Available

Local residents can apply for a free Cornwall Card, giving them 10% off a range of activities. Alternatively, customers can purchase an annual pay and play card, offering up to 30% off.
