Falmouth School’s students continued to outshine their peers nationally, with 62.7% achieving five standard GCSE passes (Grade 4 or above), and 47.6% securing five strong passes (Grade 5 or above). Both figures are comfortably above the national averages, underscoring the school’s commitment to high academic standards.

Reflections from Students and Staff

Ella, one of the many successful students, shared her joy, saying, “I put in so much hard work, commitment, and dedication for these exams. It’s fantastic to see that the results reflect that effort, and that all the hard work has paid off. Thank you to Falmouth School for their time, input, and resources leading up to the exams. Now, onto college and A-levels!”

Lauren Miller, the Year 11 Learning Leader, expressed her pride in the students’ achievements: “GCSE Results Day marks a tremendous milestone in the lives of our students, and today is no exception. It is always a pleasure to be with our students to witness their reactions to the hours and hours of learning and revision they accomplished when they finally open their envelope.”

Headteacher Lenka Chanter echoed these sentiments, highlighting the collaborative effort between students, families, and staff: “I have been extremely impressed with the students’ engagement with learning throughout the year, including the exam season. Their enthusiasm and dedication have been recognised, valued, and supported. August 2024 has been an extraordinary year for the Falmouth Family, and I feel privileged to be the headteacher of Falmouth School.”

A Bright Future Ahead

As Falmouth School celebrates these remarkable achievements, the focus now turns to the future. With a strong foundation built on the partnership between home and school, the students are well-prepared for the challenges ahead. The school community, along with supportive parents and guardians, have played a pivotal role in this success, and the optimism for continued achievements is palpable.
