Exceptional A Level and BTEC Results for Newquay Treviglas Sixth Form Students
Newquay Treviglas Sixth Form is celebrating the remarkable achievements of its students in the 2024 A Level and BTEC examinations. This year’s results have brought excitement and pride to students, parents, and staff alike, as the Sixth Form continues to uphold its reputation for academic excellence.
Outstanding Results Across the Board
The students at Treviglas Sixth Form have once again demonstrated their academic prowess, achieving a consistently high pass rate across a diverse range of subjects. These results reflect the hard work and dedication of both students and staff, highlighting the supportive and nurturing environment that the Sixth Form has cultivated.
Among the success stories is E-J, who achieved outstanding A Level results, including A* in Maths and English, an A in History, and an A in her Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). E-J has secured a prestigious offer from Cambridge University to study Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic studies, marking a significant milestone in her academic journey.
Other notable achievements include Verity, who earned a Distinction in Health and Social Care, a B in Photography, a C in English, and a C in EPQ. Verity has accepted a place at Exeter University to study Nursing. Bekah also excelled with three B grades in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics, along with a Merit in ICT, securing her place to study Pharmacy at Bath University’s Plymouth Campus.
First Choice University Placements Secured
The success of Treviglas Sixth Form students is further underscored by the fact that all students have been offered their first choice university places. This achievement demonstrates not only the academic strength of the students but also the effectiveness of the guidance and support provided by the Sixth Form team.
In addition to university placements, several students have secured highly competitive apprenticeships within the county, showcasing the diverse range of pathways available to Treviglas Sixth Form graduates.

Head of Sixth Form, Joanne Handford, expressed her pride in the students’ achievements, emphasising their commitment and resilience. He stated, “Our Sixth Form offers students the chance to stay close to home while preparing themselves to the best of their abilities for any career path they choose to pursue.
