Triumphant Return: Trio Completes Charity Bike Ride in Memory of Alfie Beard

In a moving display of courage and community spirit, Jon-Paul, Fran, and Taff completed their arduous charity bike ride from the UK to France and back, arriving to cheers at the Lizard Lifeboat Station.

This journey, dedicated to the memory of Alfie Beard, has raised £1,610 so far to support the lifeboat station that plays a vital role in maritime safety.

A Commemorative Ride

Departing from St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall, the trio pedalled with a purpose – to honour the memory of young Alfie, whose adventurous spirit and love for life profoundly inspired this mission. The physical challenges of the ride were met with immense support from the community, with phone calls and messages boosting their morale every step of the way.

Their arrival was met with heartfelt celebrations, and Ned, from the lifeboat team, spoke touching words that echoed the community’s appreciation and collective remembrance of Alfie.

The funds raised through this journey are dedicated to ‘The Rose’, a lifeboat at The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station.
