A Year of Fundraising for Lifesaving Missions

Tregoad Holiday Park has celebrated an extraordinary year of fundraising in support of Cornwall Air Ambulance, raising £2,579 to help this essential service continue its lifesaving work across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This impressive total was made possible through the efforts of the Tregoad team, their guests, and the local community.

Creative Events and Daring Challenges

Throughout 2024, Tregoad hosted a range of engaging fundraising events, including quiz nights, prize draws, and the much-loved TRUFTS dog shows, which brought people together in a spirit of fun and generosity.

Team members also took on remarkable personal challenges. Ellie Wright, the Restaurant Manager, and Matt Way, the General Manager, faced their fears in sponsored skydives, while others completed a gruelling 164-mile cycle ride from Tregoad to Land’s End and back.

The efforts didn’t stop there. A year-long prize draw offered incredible rewards, such as helicopter rides and holiday experiences, made possible by the dedication of Tregoad’s team and their suppliers.

Supporting Cornwall Air Ambulance

Cornwall Air Ambulance plays a vital role in the region, relying entirely on public donations to deliver critical care. Between January and October 2024, the service undertook 925 missions, responding to trauma cases, medical emergencies, and cardiac arrests. As Christmas approaches, the crew remains operational 19 hours a day to meet the county’s needs.

A representative of Cornwall Air Ambulance expressed their gratitude, saying:
“Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to all your colleagues that helped to raise these vital funds. With 1 in 5 patients being visitors to the county, we are so appreciative of your support as an award-winning tourism business, not just in donations but also in raising awareness that we are a public-funded charity.”

Heartfelt Thanks from Cornwall Air Ambulance

Cornwall Air Ambulance extended their thanks further, saying:
“We simply couldn’t continue to provide this lifesaving service without wonderful people and businesses like yours. From everyone here, we wish you a safe and happy Christmas!”

A Grateful Community

Tregoad Holiday Park shared its appreciation for everyone who contributed to the fundraising success, acknowledging the meaningful impact made for a charity that touches countless lives.
