Cornwall Hospice Care is offering an opportunity for adults experiencing bereavement to connect with others in a serene natural setting. Their ‘Walk Talk Kernow’ event, a free adult bereavement support group, is scheduled for this Friday.
The event encourages individuals dealing with grief to find solace and companionship while engaging in a gentle walk amidst nature. Participants are invited to gather near the main entrance of the Cape Cornwall Club (Golf Club) at 10 am for registration before embarking on a peaceful stroll towards Carn Gloose. The walk promises picturesque views of Cape Cornwall and Sennen on clear days.
Designed as an ‘amble, not a ramble’, the route circles back through Bollowal Farm, culminating at the Club for refreshments. The session is set to conclude at 12 pm. The paths chosen for the walk are mostly well-surfaced, featuring small slopes and several low stiles, making them accessible to most participants. Attendees are encouraged to wear suitable clothing and footwear for the walk.
In a welcoming gesture, well-behaved dogs on leads are also allowed to accompany their owners. To assist participants, team members from Cornwall Hospice Care will be identifiable by their lanyards.
While parking is free at the venue, attendees are advised that the area may get busy during the high season. For additional information or queries, interested individuals can contact the Cape Cornwall Club at 01736 788611.
This initiative by Cornwall Hospice Care provides a supportive environment for those grieving, combining the therapeutic benefits of nature walks with the comfort of community support.
