Cornwall Hospice Care Celebrates Successful Fundraiser in Memory of Ian ‘Bomber’ Harris

In a heartfelt show of community spirit and remembrance, Cornwall Hospice Care has extended its gratitude to all participants and supporters of the “Bands For Bomber” event, which took place on January 27th. The event was organised to honour the memory and birthday of Ian ‘Bomber’ Harris, raising a remarkable total of £6,294.15 for the hospice.

The fundraiser saw the participation of seven acts, all of whom donated their time to perform live music, contributing to the success of the evening. The event was hosted at Bethel Social Club, which generously donated the proceeds from their sales of Madri, further boosting the fundraising efforts.

Kate Harris, Steve Tucker, Kevin Wickett, and Dane Kay, representing Bands For Bomber, presented the cheque to Community Fundraiser Kelly Tregaskes and Clinical Lead Lisa Shephard at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice. This gesture underscores the community’s commitment to supporting Cornwall Hospice Care’s mission and the collective remembrance of Ian ‘Bomber’ Harris.
