Cornwall Crisis: Charity Runs Out of Sleeping Bags – Can You Help?

Published On: 25 July 2024Last Updated: 25 July 2024By

In a stark reminder of the ongoing homelessness crisis, St Petrocs, a prominent charity in Cornwall, has announced that they are down to their last sleeping bag. The charity reported that last month alone, 138 rough sleepers relied on their resource centres, highlighting the urgent and ongoing need for sleeping bags.

Urgent Appeal for Donations

St Petrocs is calling on the community for immediate help. They are requesting donations of spare sleeping bags to support those in need. With the harsh realities of sleeping rough, a sleeping bag can provide essential protection from the elements, helping to keep individuals warm and comfortable.

How to Help

For those without spare sleeping bags to donate, St Petrocs is also accepting purchases of new sleeping bags through their Give Today shop, available on their website. Donations can be made directly at St Petrocs’ Give Today shop.

By contributing, you are not just providing warmth but also comfort to those enduring the harsh conditions of rough sleeping. St Petrocs extends their gratitude in advance to all who can assist in this critical time.

This call to action underscores the importance of community support in addressing homelessness.
