Cornwall Administrator Takes on 15,000-Foot Skydive for Mental Health

In just a few days, Liz Webb, an administrator at Harland Accountants, will be leaping from a plane at 15,000 feet in a bid to raise funds for Cornwall Mind, a charity dedicated to supporting mental health across the county. This daring skydive, set to take place on Friday, is Liz’s way of encouraging support for those struggling with mental health, particularly in the business community.

A Leap for Mental Health

Liz has expressed her personal commitment to the cause, noting how vital it is for business owners and others facing stress to seek support. “Everyone has mental health,” she said in a recent Facebook post from Harland Accountants. “I particularly wanted to highlight to business owners that help is out there. I know from first-hand experience that as a group, business owners are some of the most stressed but least likely people to seek help. Cornwall Mind are there for all of us.”

The skydive is part of a fundraising campaign, with the goal of raising £1,500, which equates to 10p for every foot of Liz’s jump. The funds raised will directly support Cornwall Mind’s work, including answering calls, providing volunteer training, and offering one-on-one support for those in need.

How to Support

Donations of all sizes are encouraged, with just £10 enough to cover the cost of answering a call to Cornwall Mind, while £1,000 provides 20 hours of much-needed counselling services. Liz has been vocal about the importance of supporting mental health services, especially in Cornwall, where health services are under increasing pressure.
