Carbis Bay Estate Raises Over £83,000 for Cornwall Air Ambulance in Remarkable Fundraising Effort

Last week, the team from Carbis Bay Estate visited Cornwall Air Ambulance to celebrate a significant achievement.

In 2023, they managed to donate an impressive sum of £83,606 to the charity, courtesy of a series of events and fundraising activities hosted at the estate.

A pivotal moment in these efforts was the annual Festive Coastal Christmas Market and Carol Concert. These events, held in December on the Estate, attracted local support alongside the generosity of attendees and stallholders, culminating in a notable contribution of £11,218. This amount was further bolstered by the Jess’s Journey Christmas campaign, which saw some of the funds doubled by the charity’s match funders.Lloyds Bank also contributed, adding £2,000 in matched funding.

The substantial remainder of the funds, amounting to £59,401, was collected through a combination of guest donations, the Platinum Sponsorship of the helicopter, auction proceeds, and retail sales at the Estate Deli.

The Cornwall Air Ambulance, a critical service provider in the region, relies on such contributions to continue its vital work. This charity plays an essential role in delivering emergency medical assistance across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, offering rapid, life-saving care to those in critical situations.
