Two Nights of Festive Fun: Camborne Christmas 2025 Plans Revealed

Published On: 16 January 2025Last Updated: 16 January 2025By

Plans are already underway to expand Camborne’s Christmas celebrations for 2025, with two major evening events now on the calendar instead of one.

Early Preparations Begin for Christmas 2025

Building on the success of Camborne’s Christmas festivities in 2024, organisers have announced changes for 2025. The Christmas light switch-on and Camborne Town Council’s Lantern Parade will be held on separate evenings to maximise the benefits for local businesses and the community.

The switch-on will take place on a Saturday, while the Lantern Parade will remain a weekday event. According to BID Camborne manager Anna Pascoe, the decision follows feedback from business owners who see the potential of spreading festive activities over two nights.

“Both the switch on and Camborne Town Council’s Lantern Parade draw a lot of people into town and we want to ensure businesses reap the benefits,” Anna said. “It’s also great for local people to have two free events in the festive season.”

Volunteers Needed to Make It Happen

BID Camborne is inviting members of the public to join a working group to help plan the Saturday switch-on.

“BID Camborne has therefore decided to schedule two separate events in 2025 and we’re inviting members of the public to be part of our working group and get involved,” Anna added.

If you’re interested in contributing to these festive plans, you can get in touch by emailing smile@cambornetown.com or calling 07445 366412. Expressions of interest must be submitted by 31st January.

Although Christmas may feel a long way off, Camborne is already preparing to make 2025’s celebrations even more magical.
