Preparations Underway for Camborne’s 2025 Christmas Display

Volunteers needed as BID Camborne gears up early for festive season

It might be June, but the team at BID Camborne are already hard at work preparing for this year’s Christmas lights.

Planning ahead

BID manager Anna Pascoe, BID director Jo Weller and BID chair Samantha Hussey were joined by Matt from Christmas lights supplier Lamps and Tubes, as well as Abbie, Sam and Jamie from installation company RG Kellow, for a walk around the town centre.

“We pride ourselves on organising a dazzling, cost effective display of festive lights each year and it’s never too early to start discussing the detail,” said Samantha.

She added, “Christmas is very important to our Camborne community, and we are always looking at ways to make the festive period as good as it possibly can be, whilst also being conscious of cost.

“Our walk around went well and I’m sure our streets will again be shining bright for visitors and residents.”

Volunteers wanted

The team are calling for extra help from the local community ahead of the big switch-on. Volunteers are needed to assist with pre-event planning, as well as practical tasks like dressing the stage, setting out road closure signs and collecting donations on the day.

“We’d love to hear from anyone who’d like to join our committee meetings or provide practical setting up assistance,” said Anna.

“Organising Christmas is a communal effort and there’s lots of fun to be had in getting involved.”
