These include illustrated guides for parents to help turn everyday bus journeys into exciting learning opportunities and ‘Walk and Talk’ trail cards. These resources are designed to enhance language and communication skills from an early age. However, they are available while stocks last, so early arrival is recommended!

Inspired by Jess: A Local Hero

The special day is inspired by Jess, a local bus driver and Literacy Champion volunteer, who will be present to engage with families and share the joy of reading and learning. The involvement of local volunteers like Jess highlights the community spirit and the personal dedication that underpins this event, making it a meaningful celebration for all who attend.

Why Attend?

Trevithick Day is not just about the historical and cultural celebration of Camborne; it’s also an opportunity for families to engage in free, educational activities that are crucial for early childhood development. The National Literacy Trust in Cornwall continues to support the community by providing these enriching experiences, helping to lay the foundation for lifelong learning and literacy among the youngest members of the community.

Make sure to mark your calendars for this fun-filled day that promises both entertainment and educational benefits for your little ones. Remember, no booking is required, and you can join the fun at any time between the scheduled sessions!
