Christmas in Camborne: Lantern Parade, Lights Switch-On, and Festive Fun Await

Camborne is gearing up for a spectacular start to the festive season with a packed schedule of Christmas events. The festivities kick off on Friday, 29th November, with the annual Christmas lights switch-on.

A Full Day of Festivities

The day begins with a Christmas Produce Market in the town square from 9am to 2pm, offering visitors a chance to stock up on seasonal treats. Later, entertainment on the main stage will run from 3.30pm to 5.40pm, leading up to a children’s lantern parade at 5.45pm.

At 6.30pm, a local child will have the honour of illuminating Camborne’s decorated tree and festive streets. The child will be chosen by one of this month’s winners of the Camborne Town Loyalty Card draw.

Winter Wonderland Theme

This year’s theme is “Winter Wonderland,” and local businesses have joined in the celebration with eye-catching window displays. Anna Pascoe, BID Camborne Manager, praised the community effort and highlighted how the town stands out during the festive period.

“To mark Small Business Saturday on 7 December, we’re offering two stamps for one purchase in participating shops on our loyalty cards – making present buying in Camborne even better value,” said Anna.

Free Parking and More

To make shopping easier, free parking will be available in Rosewarne car park on Saturday 7 December, Saturday 14th December, and Monday 23rd December.
