CBeebies’ Fred and Pete to Attend St John’s Primary School Summer Fair

St John’s Summer Fest set to draw crowds with special guests and family fun

Families in Camborne are in for a treat as CBeebies favourites Fred and Pete will be appearing at St John’s Catholic Primary School on Sunday 20th July, as part of the school’s annual Summer Fest.

The on-screen duo, known for their adventures on CBeebies shows Treasure Tales and Art Adventures, are expected to be a major draw at this year’s event, which aims to raise vital funds for the school’s PTFA.

Treasure hunters and entertainment galore

Fred and Pete will bring their creative flair to a special game of Guess the Treasure, one of many activities planned to keep families entertained throughout the afternoon.

They’ll be joining a packed line-up of performances and demonstrations including:

• Songs from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by RAOST

• A magic show from Peter Bright

• Displays by ELDA, Mahers Martial Arts and West Coast Academy

• A DJ set from The Soul Reverend

There’ll also be bouncy castles, raffles, stalls and food vendors to keep kids entertained and well-fed.

‘The biggest and best yet’

Around 200 people attended last year’s fair, and organisers are expecting even more this year thanks to the appearance of the CBeebies presenters.

Amy Sparkes, a parent and member of the PTFA, said:
“As a parent who has watched the show a lot with my son, I know how popular Fred and Pete are, but more importantly, their whole programme is based in Cornwall. That local connection makes this a huge opportunity for the school and the kids, and I can’t wait for this year’s Summer Fest to be the biggest and best yet.”

Headteacher Mrs Armstrong added:
“St John’s Catholic Primary School cannot wait to host another fantastic PTFA event. Families are invited to spend the afternoon with us on our field and enjoy all the wonderful entertainment that has been organised. Every pound spent at Summer Fest will be put back into the PTFA, supporting wonderful opportunities for our pupils.”
