Camborne to Host Neighbourhood Watch Event Focused on Community Safety
Camborne Town is gearing up for an important event aimed at enhancing community safety and wellbeing.
The Neighbourhood Watch Network has announced that it will be holding a special gathering in Camborne on Wednesday, 27th March, from 4pm to 7pm at The Passmore Edwards Building, located at TR14 8HA. This event is designed to provide residents with valuable information and tools for personal safety, as well as to foster the establishment of formal Neighbourhood Watch groups within the community.
Attendees will have access to a range of free personal safety advice and equipment, including personal alarms, to help them feel more secure in their daily lives. Moreover, the event will offer support for those interested in setting up Neighbourhood Watch groups for their streets, including access to insurance and governance support, thereby strengthening the community’s capacity to prevent crime.
The gathering also presents a unique opportunity for Camborne residents to interact with various community safety organisations, allowing for a comprehensive approach to addressing safety concerns within the area.
This drop-in event is open to everyone and will feature free refreshments, including the local favorite, pasties, making it not only an informative but also an enjoyable occasion for all who attend. The Neighbourhood Watch Network’s effort to bring the community together and empower them with the tools and knowledge to enhance their safety is a welcome development for Camborne. All community members are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.
