CSIA Riders Impress at National Equestrian Championships
Seven riders from Camborne Science and International Academy (CSIA), part of Athena Learning Trust, have returned from the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Championships at Hickstead with plenty to be proud of.
Amber J, Eleanor N, Lexie-Jayden R, Isla M, Evie M, Poppy H and Lilia Z travelled from Camborne to the famous West Sussex showground to compete in five national finals, representing CSIA across both show jumping and arena eventing disciplines.
Strong Start to the Weekend
Backed by principal and team manager Emma Haase, as well as a group of supportive parents, the team kicked off the weekend with some promising warm-up results on Saturday. Lilia Z riding Woodland Archie secured 10th place in the 80cm class, while Eleanor N on Keeva also placed 10th in the 90cm.

Championship Day Highlights
Sunday saw the start of the official championship events. Lexie-Jayden R and Sir Inca Jay placed 12th in the individual 70cm show jumping, and Amber J riding Sunny took a strong 10th place in the highly competitive 80cm Arena Eventing class, which featured over 200 riders.
Podium Finish for Amber in Arena Eventing
The action continued into Monday with CSIA’s 90cm arena eventing team made up of Amber, Eleanor, Isla and Lilia riding a challenging course with confidence. Amber once again led the way, finishing 6th individually.
In the show jumping events, the 80cm team placed 14th overall and Lexie earned another individual placing in her category, capping off a successful weekend of competition.
Ongoing Support and Praise
The team also acknowledged the continued support of their sponsor, Hog House Animal Feeds of Helston.
Emma Haase, Principal of Camborne Science and International Academy, said:
“We are incredibly proud of our equestrian team. Representing CSIA at a national level is a huge achievement, and our students did so with professionalism, courage, and spirit. Their performances reflect not just their talent, but their commitment to excellence.”
