Camborne Students Beat the Odds: 75% of Oxbridge Applicants Secure Offers

Exceptional Success for Camborne Science & International Academy

Camborne Science & International Academy (CSIA), part of Athena Learning Trust, is celebrating an outstanding achievement after 9 out of 12 of its students who applied to Oxford and Cambridge received offers—a remarkable 75% success rate.

This far exceeds the national average, where just 16% of applicants secure a place at Oxford and 18% at Cambridge. Of the successful CSIA students, 5 have been offered places at the University of Oxford, while 4 have received offers from the University of Cambridge.

High Achievements Beyond Oxbridge

In addition to the Oxbridge successes, CSIA student Amelia G has received three offers from prestigious veterinary schools, further highlighting the school’s academic excellence. Many other students have also secured places at top universities across the UK, reflecting the strength of CSIA’s educational programmes and the dedication of both students and staff.

CSIA’s Sixth Form provision has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted, and the school places a strong emphasis on careers guidance, ensuring students make informed decisions about their futures—whether they choose university, apprenticeships, or employment.
