Camborne Show Moves to Gear Farm for 2025 Event

Annual event returns Saturday 19th July with vintage cars, trade stands and more

Camborne Show is moving to a brand new location this year, and it’s just minutes from the town centre.

Now in its 83rd year, the much-loved event will take place on Saturday 19th July at Gear Farm, located on Baripper Road. The new site is just a 15-minute walk, five-minute cycle, or two-minute drive from the heart of Camborne.

The show has been a highlight of the Cornish calendar since 1942, when it was first held to raise funds for the Red Cross. It was founded by the Holman family and has long been supported by local farmers.

Over the years, Camborne Show has taken place at Camborne Recreational Ground, Camborne Rugby Club and, more recently, Gwealavellan Farm.

BID Camborne backs community favourite

Speaking about the new location, Anna Pascoe, manager of BID Camborne, said:

“We’re delighted to support an event that means so much to our local community and has done for more than 80 years.”

“The Holmans were heavily involved in running it until their Camborne-based mining manufacturing company was dissolved and a charity was formed to keep the show going.”

Fun for all the family

The 2025 show promises a full day of entertainment, with a wide range of trade stands, a vintage car rally, displays and competitive classes on offer.

“Now a wide range of trade stands, vintage car rally, displays and competitive classes guarantee a fun day out for all the family,” added Anna.

Tickets can be bought in advance or on the day, and this year’s event will be supporting Parkinson’s UK.
