Camborne School Wins Inter-School Equestrian Competition
Riders from CSIA take top honours in show jumping and turnout contests
Camborne Science and International Academy (CSIA) is celebrating after a stunning performance from its equestrian teams at a recent inter-school show jumping event at Pendarves Equestrian Centre.
Competing under the team name The Red Rebels, riders Chloe M, Amber J, Grace M and Eleanor N impressed judges and spectators alike with their control, style and determination across both the 95cm–1m and 80–85cm rounds.
Eleanor N took 1st place overall in the 1m section, with teammate Grace M close behind in 2nd. Over in the 80–85cm class, Amber J clinched the top spot, followed by Lexie R in 2nd and Isla M in 4th. The results highlighted the strength and depth of talent at CSIA.
Clean sweep for Camborne teams
The Red Rebels were crowned Overall Champions, just ahead of another CSIA team, The Red Barons. Riders Isla M, Evie M, Poppy H and Lexie R put in an impressive performance to finish 2nd as a team, showing just how dominant CSIA was at the competition.
It wasn’t just about the jumping. In the Tack and Turnout section, which judges horsemanship and presentation, the Red Barons came 1st, with the Red Rebels placing 2nd.
Novice teams shine too
Younger riders from CSIA also made their mark. Riding as The Red Devils, Olivia J, Thomas R, Martha H, Ella B and DH secured 3rd place overall in the novice class. Olivia J also picked up 3rd as an individual.
The Red Arrows team of Thomas R, Ella B and Daisy H also took home 2nd place in Tack and Turnout, rounding off a day of outstanding results for the Camborne school.

Emma Haase, Principal of Camborne Science and International Academy, said:
“We are incredibly proud of our riders. Their commitment, sportsmanship, and teamwork are exemplary, and these results reflect the hours of hard work they and their coaches have invested. They are a credit to our school and the wider CSIA community.”
Camborne Science and International Academy, part of Athena Learning Trust, is a secondary school based in Camborne. It is rated Good for education, behaviour, personal development and leadership, and Outstanding for its sixth form provision.
