Anti-Social Behaviour Sparks Bus Shelter Changes in Callington

Published On: 20 October 2024Last Updated: 20 October 2024By

Callington Town Council has announced upcoming changes to the bus shelter on New Road, aimed at reducing incidents of anti-social behaviour. In recent months, the shelter has become a hotspot for loitering, vandalism, and disturbances, causing concern for local residents, businesses, and passengers.

Following feedback from the community and discussions with the police, the council has devised a plan to enhance public safety and comfort by deterring such behaviour.

Work Schedule and Public Impact

The modifications to the bus shelter are set to begin the week commencing 4th November, with work expected to last for one week. During this period, the shelter will be temporarily unavailable, but bus services will continue to operate as normal.

Callington Town Council has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause during the work.
