New Director Steps Up At Concorde Recruitment After 17 Years With The Business
Concorde Recruitment has announced the appointment of Sarah Brierley as its new director.
Sarah, who first joined the company in a temporary admin role, has worked her way up over 17 years. Her promotion comes at a key time for the region, with growing demand for skilled workers across construction, renewables, marine engineering and digital infrastructure.
Part of Cornwall College Group
Concorde Recruitment is part of the Cornwall College Group and has been matching talent with employers across Cornwall and Devon since 1996. It specialises in sectors such as education, construction and IT, offering tailored support to clients and candidates alike.
Raised in Newquay and a graduate of CCG’s management programme, Sarah is known for her dedication to people development and strategic workforce planning. Before becoming director, she held roles as consultant, senior consultant, divisional manager and most recently head of people, talent and business development.
“Creating opportunity, driving excellence and supporting growth”
Speaking about her appointment, Sarah said:
“I’m incredibly proud to lead a team that is committed to creating opportunity, driving excellence and supporting growth. At Concorde there is a genuine sense of purpose in everything we do. Together, we’re helping shape a stronger, more connected workforce for the future.”
She continued:
“Over the past 17 years, I’ve witnessed the company evolve in many ways. What has remained constant is our commitment to excellence and our sector-specialist approach. We’ve built long-standing relationships with both clients and candidates, while continuously welcoming new opportunities.”
More than a recruitment agency
Sarah believes that being part of the Cornwall College Group gives Concorde a unique edge:
“We’re not just a recruitment agency; we’re part of a wider mission to support education, skills development, and economic growth across the region. I love the opportunity to collaborate with educators, employers, and learners to shape a more connected, skilled, and empowered workforce.”
She added:
“Ultimately, it’s the impact that keeps me motivated. Knowing that we’re playing a role in developing both people and the wider community is incredibly fulfilling and I’m proud to be part of a group that genuinely believes in and invests in that vision.”
