In a significant display of community support and social responsibility, Barratt David Wilson Homes Exeter, a leading homebuilder with developments across Cornwall, has announced its charitable contributions for the past year, amounting to over £56,000 in donations and 61 days of volunteering to charities in the South West.

As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing the communities where it operates, the company has made substantial financial contributions and provided hands-on support to various local charities and organisations. This initiative is designed to foster positive legacies and support those in need within the region.

Among the beneficiaries is Balloons, a charity providing critical support to over 150 children and young people facing pre- and post-bereavement challenges. The organisation, which has experienced a surge in demand for its services amid the cost-of-living crisis, received much-needed financial assistance from Barratt David Wilson Homes. The funds have been instrumental in facilitating one-to-one grief support sessions, covering volunteer expenses, and extending support to parents, carers, and schools through telephone assistance, care packages, and professional training.

Nicola Clarke, CEO of Balloons, expressed her gratitude for the donation, highlighting the crucial role of funding in maintaining and expanding their services. She also called for more supporters and volunteers to join their cause, emphasising the positive impact of the community’s goodwill.
Nicki Reid, Sales Director for Barratt David Wilson Homes Exeter, reiterated the company’s dedication to community welfare and the collective efforts to build a more inclusive society. She announced the continuation of their charity drive into 2024, underscoring the company’s pledge to make a lasting positive impact on the lives of those in need.

In addition to its charitable activities, Barratt David Wilson Homes Exeter contributes £1,500 monthly to local organisations aimed at improving the quality of life for Cornwall residents. The homebuilder is actively involved in constructing new homes in the region, including the Treledan development in Saltash, offering support and schemes like the Part Exchange Guarantee and the Key Worker Deposit Contribution Scheme to assist homebuyers at various stages of their journey.

This generous support from Barratt David Wilson Homes Exeter reflects a deep-rooted commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, setting a commendable example for corporations in Cornwall and beyond.
