AI Software Company Wins Cornwall Innovation Business Competition: Cornwall’s KAIAKO AI Set to Revolutionise Marketing
In a major boost for the local business community, KAIAKO AI has emerged as the winner of the 2024 Cornwall Innovation Business competition. The competition, organised by the University of Plymouth and sponsored by Hertzian Ltd and Business Cornwall, saw fierce rivalry among Cornwall-based SMEs. However, KAIAKO AI, led by founder Simon Vincent, clinched the top prize.
A Year of Opportunity for KAIAKO AI
KAIAKO AI’s victory comes with a prize package valued at over £11,000. The prize includes a fully-equipped two-person office for a year at the Tremough Innovation Centre in Penryn, along with 12 months of free business support from the competition’s co-sponsors. This win marks a significant milestone for Simon Vincent, who has been developing the model behind KAIAKO AI for over two decades.
The company’s innovative software empowers small and medium-sized companies to produce charismatic marketing content at speed. By blending artificial intelligence with human creativity, KAIAKO AI’s tool maps established psychological personality types to generate 16 unique ‘voices,’ each designed to resonate with audiences through charisma, wit, and soul. These voices are integrated into a generative AI tool that helps brands create engaging, human-centric marketing content almost instantly.
A Promising Future in Cornwall
Simon Vincent expressed his enthusiasm about the opportunities this win will bring: “This opportunity puts us in a fantastic position to meet like-minded businesses, network, learn from them and share ideas.” He added that the chance to share KAIAKO AI’s model more widely and to receive validation from a diverse range of people is both satisfying and humbling. Simon is eager to settle into the new office at Tremough Innovation Centre and to benefit from the mentorship offered by Hertzian and Business Cornwall over the coming year.
Innovation at the Heart of Cornwall
Matt Harrington, Head of Cornwall Innovation Centres and the main sponsor of the competition, highlighted the significance of supporting local businesses like KAIAKO AI. He praised the ambition and creativity shown by all entrants, noting that Simon’s win reflects the dynamic and talented nature of the county. With the support of the Tremough Innovation Centre team and co-sponsors, Matt is confident that KAIAKO AI is well-positioned to grow and thrive in Cornwall.
As KAIAKO AI embarks on this exciting journey, the business community will undoubtedly watch with interest to see how this innovative company leverages its new resources to transform marketing for SMEs
