Published On: 24 April 2025Last Updated: 24 April 2025By

A vehicle used for the school run was seized by police in Bodmin on 23rd April after officers discovered it had no valid MOT, no Vehicle Excise Licence, and no insurance.

Officers stopped the vehicle during routine patrols and found it had been driven without meeting the legal requirements to be on the road.

“This vehicle was stopped by officers in Bodmin today having been used for the purposes of a school run – expired MOT, expired Vehicle Excise Licence and no insurance. Vehicle seized and driver reported for all offences.”

The driver was reported for all three offences and the vehicle was taken off the road.

Police have not released further details about the driver or the specific location of the stop. The incident highlights the serious consequences of using an unroadworthy vehicle, even for everyday tasks like the school run.
