Over Three Times the Limit: Driver Arrested After Crashing into Wall in Bodmin

Afternoon incident near Scarlets Well Car Park leads to arrest

Bodmin Police have confirmed that a driver was arrested yesterday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a wall near the Scarlets Well Car Park.

The collision was reported just after 3pm on Tuesday, 22nd April. Officers responded quickly to the scene and located the driver, who was arrested and taken to custody.

Breath test reveals shocking result

While in custody, the driver provided two breath specimens, with the lowest reading being 123 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms, meaning the individual was more than three times over the legal limit—at 3pm in the afternoon.

Appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage

Police are now appealing to the public for any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.
