Miracle Theatre announces huge summer tour with contemporary take on a beloved classic

Cornwall’s most prolific touring theatre company is set to bring laughter, mischief and mistaken identity to audiences across the county this summer as Miracle Theatre launches its brand new production of Twelfth Night.

The company will kick off its 48-performance tour at the iconic Minack Theatre on 9th June 2025, before travelling to some of Cornwall and the South West’s most scenic outdoor locations. The tour will run until 23rd August 2025.

A Story of Love, Loss and Laughter

Twelfth Night is a joyous and chaotic tale where love knows no boundaries. The story follows twins Sebastian and Viola, who are separated by a storm and shipwrecked. Viola, alone in Illyria, finds herself caught up in a whirlwind of unrequited love, mistaken identities, outrageous characters and hilarious awkwardness.

Described as “a kind of party that revels in high-spirited feasting and misrule”, the production promises belly laughs, heartache and a contemporary twist. Director Sally Crooks said:

“Twelfth Night is a kind of party that revels in high-spirited feasting and misrule that never fails to entertain. A delicious fusion of tomfoolery, cruelty, confusion and longing that is seriously funny. I’m thrilled to be working with this outrageously talented team of actors and makers to serve up a version that’s as lively, mischievous, and stirring as the play deserves.”

Returning Cast and New Faces

This new adaptation will be directed by Sally Crooks, who also directed Miracle’s 2024 summer hit Love Riot. The cast features familiar Miracle faces Daniel Richards, Sophie Dear and Benjamin Dyson, alongside newcomers Pip Cook and Jowan Jacobs. In a nod to the company’s history, Jowan will take on the role of Malvolio, originally played by his father in Miracle’s 2002 version.

A Packed Summer Tour

The tour opens at Minack Theatre and will visit:

  • Trelissick Garden
  • Trerice House
  • Tresco
  • St Mawes and Restormel Castles
  • Enys Gardens

…and many more beautiful venues across Cornwall and beyond.

Tickets and Booking

Tickets are on sale now, starting from £18 for adults and £9 for children (under 16). The show is recommended for ages 7 and up.
