Tour stop at Town Hall revealed for new stand-up show ‘Jacket Potato Pizza’

Award-winning comedian and writer Bridget Christie is heading back on the road with her latest live show Jacket Potato Pizza, and Launceston is on the tour schedule.

The show, which is her fourteenth to date, will come to Launceston Town Hall on Friday 23rd January 2026, with tickets going on sale from 10am on Wednesday 28th May 2025.

Bridget said: “I am very much looking forward to eating Motorway services food again and picking my favourite roundabouts. Last year Plymouth won.”

About the show

Described by The Independent as “one of the brightest and best around”, Jacket Potato Pizza follows a string of successful tours and TV appearances for Bridget, including Taskmaster, Ghosts, and her Channel 4 series The Change. The new show promises a mix of surreal topics including a kidney stone, a stray cat, and an eye-themed fetish.

Bridget’s past live shows have picked up critical acclaim, with A Bic For Her winning the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award and becoming the best-selling show ever at Soho Theatre. Her Brexit-themed show Because You Demanded It was The Guardian’s top comedy of 2016.

She has also enjoyed success on radio and streaming platforms. In 2017, her Stand Up For Her special was released on Netflix, making her the first British female stand-up to have a special on the service.

Recent success

Her comedy drama The Change recently aired its second series on Channel 4. Bridget picked up Best TV Writer at the New Voice Awards and Best Actor at the Edinburgh TV Awards for the show’s first run. The second series received 5 stars from The Guardian, who called it a “glorious feminist sitcom [that] will leave you ecstatic.”

Bridget will also appear in the upcoming second season of BBC’s Things You Should Have Done.
