Step into a midsummer celebration at Fire & Folk, the first summer gathering at The Story of Emily. This day-long event combines Cornish folklore, South African hospitality and community spirit in the grounds of The Rectory and War Rooms.

🎶 Live performances

  • Women Are Dancing – an all-female Morris side from Falmouth, inspired by the legend of Joan the Wad

  • Black Friday – high-energy folk band playing a mix of original tunes and classics from The Pogues and Flogging Molly

🔥 Feast by the fire
Enjoy a slow-cooked meal served fireside, full of South African flavours

🎠 Family fun
Play vintage fairground games including splat-the-rat and coconut shies

🔥 Evening storytelling
Gather around the fire as dusk falls to share stories and celebrate summer

🎟 Admission:

  • Day Pass: £25 adult | £12 child (5–17) | Under 5s free

  • Annual Pass: £35 adult | £15 child (5–17)
