Budock Vean Hotel Launches Wimbledon-Themed Afternoon Tea

A summer afternoon tea with a tennis twist

The Budock Vean Hotel, near Falmouth, is marking Wimbledon in its own delicious way this summer, serving a limited-edition Wimbledon Afternoon Tea from Monday 30th June to Sunday 13th July 2025.

Set in the hotel’s peaceful grounds, this special offering celebrates one of Britain’s most iconic sporting events with a selection of tennis-inspired treats and classic British flavours.

What’s on the menu

For £23 per person, guests will be served a pot of tea or coffee alongside a line-up of freshly made sandwiches, including:

• Smoked salmon and herb cream cheese

• Westcountry ham and grain mustard mayonnaise

• Cheddar cheese and heritage tomato

• Cucumber and cream cheese

Freshly baked scones will follow, served with Cornish clotted cream and Boddington’s Cornish strawberry jam.

Then comes the themed dessert trio:

• Lemon cheese ‘tennis ball’

• Strawberries and cream gâteau opéra

• Cherry Bakewell macaron

For those looking to raise a glass to the tournament, you can add a Pimm’s cup for an extra £7.
