Surfer-Turned-Musician Brings Coastal Folk Vibes from Australia to Cornwall This Summer

First UK performances for Ben Morgan set for Falmouth and Exeter this August

Australian singer/songwriter Ben Morgan will be heading to the South West this summer for his first UK performances, with shows confirmed in both Cornwall and Devon.

The 25-year-old will play at The Cornish Bank in Falmouth on Thursday 14th August before heading to The Cavern in Exeter on Friday 15th August.

From Aussie Busker to Rising Star

Ben began busking and performing along the East Coast of Australia in 2022, honing a unique blend of blues and folk. Choosing to stay out of the big cities, he found his sound while travelling and performing in smaller coastal communities. By 2023, his distinctive voice and emotionally driven songs had helped him gain 50,000 followers across his social media channels.

He describes his music as “a soundtrack to life, through all the light and shade,” blending his early folk influences with “more open and alternate styles” shaped by his passion for the saxophone.

Fans of Ziggy Alberts, Ben Howard and Matt Corby are tipped to enjoy his sound. His voice has been likened to the likes of Hozier, Ray Lamontagne and Patrick Watson.

Big Momentum in 2025

After a year of consistent releases and a headline tour in Australia, Ben entered 2025 with a growing global audience. This year has already seen him perform sold-out support slots for Ziggy Alberts and Boy & Bear.

His live sets blend intimate folk ballads, swampy blues and upbeat coastal folk – all carried by his signature vocals and soulful musicianship.
