The Cornish Barber in Newlyn Raises Vital Funds For Mousehole Bird Hospital
A fundraising effort by Becky Cornish from The Cornish Barber in Newlyn has brought much-needed support to Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital. Becky’s clients, with a penchant for fudge, helped raise £105 through the sale of sweet treats, with all proceeds going towards the hospital’s important work.
Each bird that enters Mousehole Bird Hospital undergoes a test for avian flu, costing approximately £6 per bird. Thanks to Becky’s efforts and her generous clients, this donation will go a long way to help cover these costs.
Mousehole Bird Hospital expressed their gratitude to everyone involved and encouraged others to get involved with fundraising. For anyone interested in contributing, regardless of the size of the event, you can contact Julie at 07773331525.
Supporting Gulls Only
At present, the hospital is only able to take in gulls, and these birds must have been seen by a vet first and deemed suitable for rehabilitation. The team at Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital expressed their thanks for the community’s understanding during this time.
How You Can Help
If you’d like to support the hospital, there are various ways to contribute. You can make a donation via their JustGiving page, or help by purchasing items from their Amazon wish list.
