Dairyland Farm Park in Newquay to Close After Halloween: What’s Next for the Beloved Attraction?
After 44 Years, Dairyland Farm Park Announces Closure
Dairyland Farm Park in Newquay has announced it will be closing its doors for good after a final week of Halloween activities in October. Despite achieving two record seasons under new management, the park has struggled with the financial challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and rising operating costs, leading to significant losses that have become unsustainable.
A Final Farewell
The park will officially close on Sunday, 3rd November at 5pm, following a week of Halloween events. The popular Bullpen indoor play area will remain open on Fridays (12pm-5pm) and weekends (10am-5pm) throughout October until the park’s final closure.
For those looking to visit Dairyland one last time, the park will be open until 29th September before it temporarily shuts its gates to prepare for the Halloween season.
Future Plans for the Site
In a follow-up announcement, Dairyland Farm Park confirmed that the site has not been sold. Instead, the management plans to transform the area into a new destination featuring a farm shop, café, play area, and spaces for local small businesses. The Paulos Circus, a longstanding partner of Dairyland, will continue to call the site home.
Rehoming the Animals
The well-being of the animals that have been part of the Dairyland experience for many years remains a priority. The dedicated Farm Park team will ensure all animals are re-homed in loving environments where they will continue to be well cared for.
