In a busy July, Cornwall Air Ambulance responded to an astonishing 99 emergency incidents across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The crew’s efforts included attending to 27 cardiac arrests, 15 road traffic collisions, and 5 falls from height, showcasing the critical role they play in the region’s emergency response system.

A Vital Lifeline for Cornwall

The Cornwall Air Ambulance service has long been a lifeline for those in urgent need of medical assistance, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas. The range of emergencies tackled by the crew last month highlights the unpredictable nature of their work and the essential support they provide to the community.

Why Your Support Matters

The lifesaving missions carried out by Cornwall Air Ambulance would not be possible without the generous support of the public. However, with the increasing demand for their services, the need for additional resources has become urgent.

To continue providing rapid emergency response across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall Air Ambulance is appealing for support in securing a second helicopter. The “Heli2” appeal aims to fund a new helicopter to ensure that the team can reach more people in need, especially during simultaneous or overlapping incidents.

How You Can Help

Supporting the “Heli2” appeal means contributing to a cause that directly impacts the lives of those in critical conditions. Donations can be made through the Cornwall Air Ambulance website, where every contribution will bring the team closer to securing the vital second helicopter.

Your support could make the difference between life and death for those awaiting emergency medical care. To learn more about how you can help, visit the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust’s official appeal page here.
